DESCRIPTION:

Non-Competitive SHOOT FOR FUN

The fun shoot is a great event for the whole family! Join us at Sunrise Park Resort for this amazing 39th annual event, with vendors, raffles, competition, and more! The fun shoot starts at 8:00am on Thursday, July 2, 2026, and goes through 6:00pm on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Lift access is available from 9:00am to 4:00pm for shooters. Courses must be cleared by 6:00pm each day.

COURSES:

  • One Family Friendly Walking Course, nearest Sunrise Base - 10 Targets
  • One Child Friendly Walking Course, nearest Sunrise Base - 10 Targets 
  • Two Lift-Accessed, Extreme Courses at Sunrise Peak (Ages 18+) - 10 Targets per course
  • Four Lift-Accessed, Fun Courses at Midway - 15 Targets per course
  • Four Walking Fun Courses near Sunrise Base - 15 Targets per course

PRIZES & RAFFLES: Tickets sold at Guest Services throughout the weekend. Prizes include vendor and sponsor products (including shirts, arrows, targets, etc.) and top prize is the World-Renowned White Mountain Apache Trophy Elk Hunt! Only competitive shooters are eligible for the trophy elk hunt top prize raffle. Everyone is eligible for all other prizes. Raffles drawn and prizes announced on Saturday, July 5th, after the competitive shoot is complete (around 3-4pm) at Sunrise Base.

JULY 4TH CELEBRATION: Join us Friday night at Sunrise Base area from 4-8pm for sunset lift rides, live music, base activities, and dining open late to celebrate the 4th of July and enjoy the holiday weekend with your family on the mountain!

LODGING: Sunrise Park Lodge is open with rooms available to book at www.sunriseparklodge.com and we also have camping and RV spots (with power hookups) available at the Sunrise campground (permits available at Sunrise General store).

CLOSED ACTIVITIES: General hiking, mountain biking, zip lining, tubing hill and disc golf will not be available July 2- 4.

Scenic Lift - Adult Day Pass (18+)

This scenic lift ride takes about 7 minutes to reach the peak where you can experience some of the most expansive panoramic views in Arizona. This ticket allows an individual unlimited rides for the scheduled day.
